Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients for the cake
- Two cups of ground almonds – raw and peeled
- One or two cups of sugar
- Five eggs
- Lemon zest from half a lemon
- One tablespoon of liquor
- You can use almond or vanilla extract as substitutes
- One teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Topping requires the following ingredients
- Powdered sugar
- Fresh fruits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Use a food processor to pulse the almonds
- Beat the egg and sugar to create a pale and creamy mixture
- Add lemon zest, cinnamon, and liquor (almond or vanilla as alternatives)
- Grease a springform pan with butter
- Now pour in cake batter
- Bake for 25-30 minutes to ensure the cake is golden brown
